Hi, My name is Alana Bagby-Leonard and I was intrested in playing softball in Spain. I am not sure if you are even the person that can help me, but I got your name of the European Softball Federation website and dececided to start at the top and hopefully work my way down to the person that can help me. : ) I realize that it is too late to play for this season but I would like you to keep me in mind for next season. Let me tell you a little more about me. I am a 6’0 tall. I play firstbase/thirdbase/pitcher and am a power hitter. I played my first two years at Gulf Coast Community College(Panama City, FL) where I helped lead them to 2 national championships. While there I was a two time first team all conference for the Pan-Handle conference and for the State of Florida. I was also a two time NJCAA All tournament team. I attended Southeast Missouri State University (Cape Girardeau, MO) and while there I led theme to the conference playoffs both years. I was a team captain, 2004 MVP, Ohio Valley “Player of the Week”, two time First team All-Conference and Ohio Valley All-Tournament team. I ended up batting .376 for a career average. After college I played for Forli Italy (2007) and was second highest batter with a .300 batting average. I was also a top hitter on Antorcha in Valencia, Spain. I would have played for the USA national team but my one chance I was invited to tryouts; I broke my ankle the week before. I hope that helped to give you a little more insight. El esta interesado en continuar su carrera en Espana si es posible en Madrid donde vive su tio. Que tiene que hacer para ponerse en contacto con los equipos y hacer una prueba.
